Play Space

8 Sep

Last week I did something that would make my sister in law, Heather, quite proud. I repurposed a space in our house. What was once a junk room, er, “office” has become a play space.  And it’s kind of neat how devoting this physical space has helped make room in my soul for a little extra play with my favorite 17 month old.

Space for rescuing seals and rare lion cubs from the dog.

For cuddling up with a good book.

For getting into Daddy’s camera equipment box.

And sometimes we clean it all up. But if we don’t feel like it we just leave it out.  Because it’s our space. For playing. And it doesn’t have to be anything but that.

Now hurry up and wake up from your nap, Abigail, because I have our afternoon tea set up. Just the way you like it.
